A Memorandum of Understanding on judicial collaboration was signed between Republic of Maldives and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. 

The MoU was signed, on behalf of the Republic of Maldives by H.E Uz. Abdul Ghanee Mohamed, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court and from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by
H.E Dr. Walid Al-Samaani, Minister of Justice. 

The ceremony, held in Riyadh on 23 November 2025, was attended by H.E. Mr.  Ahmed Sareer, Ambassador of Republic of Maldives to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Ambassador Sareer presented copies of his Letters of Credence as the Non-Resident Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Maldives to the Kingdom of Morocco, to H.E. Nasser Bourita, Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates of the Kingdom of Morocco; at a ceremony held at Morocco's Ministry of the Foreign Affairs, on 14th November 2025. The ceremony was attended by Second Secretary Mrs. Nafha Hassan.

An agreement on Hajj services has been signed between the Government of the Maldives and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The agreement was signed on behalf of the Maldives by the Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed, and on behalf of Saudi Arabia by the Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah.

The agreement sets out the key principles and procedures for managing the affairs of Maldivian pilgrims during the upcoming Hajj season.

This agreement is part of an annual process conducted between the two nations to ensure the smooth and effective organization of Hajj for Maldivian pilgrims.
