Maldivians intending to visit Saudi Arabia require a prior visa to travel to Saudi Arabia.
General information regarding visa application is available on website of the Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Maldives.
Important: As medical costs are significantly high in Saudi Arabia, we urge and advise all Maldivians traveling to Saudi Arabia to purchase adequate medical cover for their stay in Saudi Arabia.
The Embassy provides notary and authentication services for official documents issued by the Government of Maldives. For documents not issued by the Government of the Maldives, but which requires notarization by the Embassy must be referred to a Notary Public first for notarization before presenting it to the Embassy for services.
The applicants are required to fill a ‘Notary and Authentication Service Form” at the Embassy when requesting service.
At least 3 working days are required for notary and authentication services where verification is required from an external authority. The Embassy does not charge any fee for such services.
Services related to marriage registration in Maldives
If you are a Maldivian citizen who has got married abroad and you wish to register your marriage in the Maldives, you will need to contact the Family Court directly.

If a Maldivian requires the Embassy’s services to attest or authenticate obtain documents for a marriage in Saudi Arabia the Maldivian national may apply for notary and authentication service, as noted above.
Services related to registering a birth of Maldivian citizen
If you are a Maldivian parent of a child born in Saudi Arabia and you wish to register your child’s birth in the Maldives, you will need to contact the Department of National Registration directly.
