Ambassador Sareer presented copies of his Letters of Credence as the Non-Resident Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Maldives to the Kingdom of Morocco, to H.E. Nasser Bourita, Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates of the Kingdom of Morocco; at a ceremony held at Morocco's Ministry of the Foreign Affairs, on 14th November 2025. The ceremony was attended by Second Secretary Mrs. Nafha Hassan.
An agreement on Hajj services has been signed between the Government of the Maldives and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The agreement was signed on behalf of the Maldives by the Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed, and on behalf of Saudi Arabia by the Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah.
The agreement sets out the key principles and procedures for managing the affairs of Maldivian pilgrims during the upcoming Hajj season.
This agreement is part of an annual process conducted between the two nations to ensure the smooth and effective organization of Hajj for Maldivian pilgrims.
His Excellency Mr. Ahmed Sareer, Ambassador of the Republic of Maldives to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia held a meeting with His Excellency Dr. Saud Al-Sati, Deputy Minister for Political Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. At the meeting, they exchanged views on strengthening the enduring ties of cooperation between the Maldives and Saudi Arabia.
